Hi folks - living in Vancouver BC but my heartstrings for the Maritime folks are forever. It's just wacky really - but my wife jabs me in the side during our day to day travels when I notice a Maritime plate visiting the BC neck of the woods and I feel compelled to touch base with these folks by approaching them and saying hi ( which usually results in a 30 min or so chit chat about back home :) )

I have lots of family from Springhill and Five Islands (the big 5-I), but hail from everywhere else is the Maritimes. Lived in Nova Scotia (Halifax, Truro, Hilden, Brookfield, Bass River, Economy, and Sackville) and New Brunswick (Moncton, Bouctouche, Fredericton, Sackville, Saint Antoine, and Riverview).

I"m a backwards import (moved from bc <salt spring island>to ns <south shore> for the lower property values) . seems like all the groovy east costers are all out west making better money! come back in ten years when i'm an established realtor and you've made your fortune and i'll sell your homeland to you.
but if there's anyone on this tribe who still lives in ns, spec, south shore, i'd be glad to meet ya since i've spent the last 6 months being so deprived of social situations that i'm beginning to get really wierd.
